Citroen - Traction

During the production run from 1934 to 1957, approximately 760,000 Citroen Traction Avants were built.

Powered by either a 4 or 6 cylinder engine, the Traction was primarily built as a 4 door saloon, however there were a small number produced in both 2 and 4 door convertibles and even as a 5 door hatchback.

The Avant leaves its mark in the history books as being one of the first cars to be built using a monocoque body and also using rack and pinion steering. The car stayed in production until the launch of the Citroen DS range.
