Citroen - 2CV

With a production run spanning over 40 years, the Citroen 2CV stands with only a few other cars to have had such a long production. 

Manufactured form 1948 to 1990, the 2CV was designed as an economical car for the masses to run and own. During it's time the 2CV was built with virtually every body style possible, from 4 door saloons, through to pick ups and panel vans. 

Initially powered by a 9hp 375cc engine, this was increased over the years to 425cc 12 and 24hp engine to the more commonly used 602cc 29hp engine.

The popularity of the 2CV had world wide popularity and was exported throughout the world to countries as far away as Chile, Uruguay and Argentina in South America, to Africa and Iran.

With many very unique colour schemes, the 2CV is instantly recognisable at many Classic Car shows ad if you own one of these be prepared for countless conversations with people about the 'ones they used to own'.
