Austin - a35

The Austin A35 was produced between 1956 and 1968, and was the replacement for the earlier A30. The A35 is very familiar to the A30 except for a slightly larger rear window and a painted front grill, and of course the slightly larger 34 horsepower engine.

In 1959 the saloon version of the A35 was replaced with the A40 Farina, although the A35 lived on until 1968 with the estate and van versions.

The A30/A35 is one of those great British cars that is instantly recognisable by many, and tales of 'my dad used to have one of those' can be heard by many people at car shows around the country.
